A gaming machine addict who lost £1,000 in ONE HOUR in a bookies grabbed most of it back from a frightened female employee and fled.

Michael Fox told the lone worker, who was emptying the roulette gaming machines, “I need my money back”, grabbed the cash container from her, took handfuls of the notes and ran off.

Liverpool crown court heard that Fox, a 39-year-old taxi driver, later explained: “Gambling has destroyed my life.”
